Revising my writing feels like undoing knitting, like pulling out every stitch I made so that I could go back and fix the one I botched. I can’t just change the one thing; I have to go back and change everything along the way. I can't just change the one word or sentence; I have to rethink the paragraph.
Twitter is morphing into X. Some people have tweeted to write and share on a personal level. Back then, Tumblr felt like that. During high school and undergrad, I posted to my Tumblr and wrote (too) personally, overshared. Then, when Yahoo bought Tumblr, I deleted mine.
Now, during grad school, I write more overall, but I write less personally. I wonder who still writes that way online. I felt like I'd find random regular people's blogs and learn their life stories. I guess influencers share about themselves, but in the end, it's to sell something.
Thank you to everyone who has read and critiqued my writing lately.
